DELF/DALF FAQ

Can I take the DELF exam at your location?
Yes, we organize official on-site exam sessions for DELF and DALF certifications. Please contact us to find out the exact dates of the next available sessions and registration deadlines.
What is the difference between DELF and DALF?
Both are official diplomas, but cover different levels. DELF certifies levels from basic to upper-intermediate (A1, A2, B1, B2). DALF certifies higher academic levels (C1, C2). Both are issued by the same body (France Éducation international).
Does the certification expire?
No, DELF and DALF diplomas are valid for life. You don't need to renew them, making them an excellent investment for your professional and academic future.
Is it mandatory to take a preparation course?
It's not mandatory, but highly recommended. The exam has specific tests with precise formats (e.g., synthesis, argumentative essay). Our courses teach you not only the language, but also strategies to tackle these tests successfully.
Do I need to pass A1 to take B2?
No, the diplomas are independent. You can register directly for the exam at the level you believe you possess. If you're unsure about your level, we offer a free test to help you choose.
How long does it take to receive results?
Provisional results are usually available a few weeks after the exam. The official paper diploma is sent from France and takes a few months to arrive, but in the meantime a pass certificate (Attestation de réussite) is issued which is valid for all purposes.
