The scheduled strike by Elizabeth line workers, originally intended to coincide with the first anniversary of the route’s opening, has been temporarily halted.
The Transport Salaried Staffs’ Association (TSSA) had planned a walkout on May 24th as a result of a pay dispute. However, the union has recently received an updated offer from Rail for London Infrastructure, which will now be presented to its members.
Mel Taylor, the interim organizing director of TSSA, expressed that suspending the strike would provide an opportunity for their teams to thoroughly assess the proposed changes and facilitate further consultation and discussion.
